Savage Wizdom - (2007-2014) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

 Biography

Since it’s incarnation in the summer of 2004, Savage Wizdom has been a staple on the local scene in the southwest United States. Formed by ex-Prowler vocalist Steve Montoya, guitarists Wes Rivera and Chris Herrera, bassist Morris Branch and drummer Chris Salazar, the band members had all come from different musical backgrounds and soon realized that there was little common ground in terms of influences among them.

Using this to their advantage, the band began to craft a sound that had the punch and aggression of some of the modern metal bands with the sensibility of the 80’s metal music.

After three years of playing in the bars and clubs in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the band had amassed a substantial amount of original material and in the fall of 2007 released their debut full-length release; No Time For Mercy. However, for some of the members, it seemed that the band had run it’s course and by the end of the year the group
had disbanded.

Montoya was not ready to call it quits on the group and in February 2008 decided to reform it. With a new line-up now consisting of his son Steven on guitar, ex-Fear Of God drummer Steve Cordova, guitarist Pablo Roybal and bassist Sean Coblentz, the band re-emerged on the local scene in late 2008 and began to regain the momentum that had been cut short less than a year earlier.

As new songs began to emerge, the identity of the new Savage Wizdom began to reveal itself as being more melodically based than the group that had been featured on the debut album. The themes were still similar, but with the new band came a renewed sense of drive and determination that was reflected in the music. Gone were the thrashy Slipknot based influences that were prevalent on the first album and in it’s place emerged a more sophisticated and melodious sound heavily influenced by the likes of Iron Maiden and Helloween.

The band welcomed their newest member James Stuart III in the summer of 2014 when Sean Coblentz left to pursue another path in his life. For James, who had attended almost every one of the band’s shows since the reformation, the experience of transitioning from a fan in the audience to a full fledged member of the group was “a
dream come true.” The appreciation was mutual as his enthusiasm for the music breathed new life into the band when they needed it most.

Now, with a new release aptly titled: A New Beginning, the band stands taller and more proud than ever before. Tracks like “Do Or Die” and “Chase The Dragon” reflect the attitude of daring to chart your own course through life. “Shattered Lives” speaks of one of the darkest chapters in human history while songs like “Point Of No Return,” “Far
Away” and the heavy hitting title track carry the central theme of the album. Indeed, the band members feel that this is the strongest material that they have ever been involved

The current line-up of the band is proud to support the original vision of where it came from. With the band members ranging in ages, there is certainly no shortage of knowledge, experience and wisdom from very different perspectives. Above all, they hope that their music will be a source of both entertainment and empowerment for their listeners as they unleash this new animal in front of unsuspecting crowds, large or small.

“I wanted a band name that conveyed brute strength, but also knowledge and intellect” says vocalist Steve Montoya as he describes the origins of his band’s name. “The Z was thrown in to replace the S just to mix things up a bit.”

Deathinition - Art Of Manipulation ( EP - 2013) - Youtube Stream

Biography

DEATHINITION was born in 2008 with hope of resurrecting the metal scene in Bydgoszcz. Igor, the singing guitarist decided to shape his vision of a thrash band, that he had cherished for a few years.

They debuted as a trio, having already written a few own songs. One of them, "Melanż" ("Party") was then recorded in Black Bottle Records studio in nearby Toruń.

Mid-2010 the band finally consisted of five determined musicians. The proper demo was recorded in Autumn and released in digital form at the end of the year. It was later put up on a CDR as well.
After numerous line-up changes they found the perfect drummer in Witek Kozak, who played the first gig on the open-air Muszla Fest in September 2012. This marks the new chapter in the existence of Deathinition.

In 2013 the band records the first official EP, "Art Of Manipulation", which is again released in digital form first. Early 2014 it sees the light as a silver disc.

Deathinition played many important gigs: with Death Angel, Hirax, Assassin, Helstar, Vicious Rumors, NWOTM bands from all over the world (Bonded By Blood, Fueled By Fire, Violator, Andralls, Suicidal Angels) Eastern groups (Hell:on , Fragile Art, Majster Kat) and a Polish metal legend: KAT. They also shared the stages with most bands of the Polish new wave of metal.
Deathinition plays numerous gigs and are (mid-2014) working on their debut record.

D.A.M. - (1989-1991) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

Biography
Historically speaking England could be considered the birthplace of heavy metal with the likes of Black Sabbath forging a new path for heavy music. But during the 1980’s the thrash metal movement stronghold was America and UK bands like D.A.M. (alongside Xentrix, Slammer and Onslaught) fought tooth and nail to make their impact heard from across the Atlantic. Knowingly an uphill battle, D.A.M. managed to release two impressive albums (1989’s Human Wreckage and 1991’s Inside Out) during their initial years. Extensive touring with Nuclear Assault and Dark Angel, also bought the release of the Three Way Thrash Live Video, filmed at the London Hammersmith show.

Two albums, despite being tracked in Germany with legendary producer Harris Johns, are distinctively British in their use of simplistic and crunching riffs rather than relying solely on technical aptitude. The strength of big chords and rousing choruses were employed by D.A.M. to great success. More touring followed with Acid Reign, Re-Animator and Xentrix.

Human Wreckage and Inside Out remain popular now 20 years later, despite being out of print for two decades, due to the band’s original desire to cross boundaries and stave off being labeled haphazardly as simply another “thrash band,” but instead be remembered as a classic British heavy metal band.

Both reissues feature newly remastered audio, restored artwork by original artist Andreas Marschall (Running Wild, Blind Guardian), band interviews conducted in 2012 and 12 page booklets full of archival photos. For the fans, by the fans, Plus extra media in the form of the Human Wreckage Promo video and the Three Way Thrash show. http://www.divebombrecords.com/site/bands/d-a-m/
Keep up with the members of D.A.M. as they have begun rehearsals for upcoming live performances and the eventual recording of long lost “kaleidoscope Sessions” material.

Myrkgrav - (2006-2015) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

Biography

Myrkgrav is a Norwegian blackened folk metal band. It is a one-man band, with the single member being Lars Jensen. Jensen founded the band in 2003 and released a demo in 2004 entitled Fra fjellheimen laller... (English: From Mountain Home's Calling). His debut album, Trollskau, skrømt og kølabrenning (Trollish Woods, Wraiths and Coalburning), was released 27 October 2006. The lyrics are about local history, legends and folklore from Ringerike, Lommedalen, and Hole, from around the 17th century to the end of the 19th century. The songs are sung in a local dialect of Norwegian.

Myrkgrav's lyrical and visual theme is deeply rooted in folklore and local history from Lars' home village in Ringerike.

The project often features guest artists from a wide range of other musical genres, for instance Olav L. Mjelva playing the traditional Norwegian instrument Hardanger fiddle.

Lars was born 30.12.1986 in Ringerike, Norway. Living in the small countryside village Åsa, he was subject to the rich folklore of the area, which would eventually shape much of his professional as well as personal future. As of 2013, he is majoring in Folkloristics with a minor in Ethnology at Åbo Akademi University in Turku, Finland.

Lars has been a member of several other bands and projects throughout the years. He was the lead singer on Sworn's 2007 debut album The Alleviation as well as on the two first records of avant-garde extreme metallers Quadrivium. He has also done guest work for bands like Hel, Voluspaa and some underground projects.

As a producer and sound engineer, Lars has worked on a vast number of different records, both in Toproom Studio (home to records of bands such as Ásmegin, Mayhem, Borknagar) and in his own personal recording space. Most prominently is probably Voluspaa's 2010 debut full-length Åsa, which was producent in its entirety by Lars and the band, actually in the village Åsa.

Myrkgrav relies strongly on Norwegian folk music (including the use of traditional instruments) in its sound, while retaining a distinct extreme metal basis, such as to aspire towards bringing folk and metal together like it was the most natural thing in the world. What started out as a bedroom black metal project in 2003, has evolved to become a fusion of several different styles without a care in the world for what The Great Rule Book of Metal says.

In addition to Lars Jensen himself, Myrkgrav often features guest members that add their own flare to the sound. As of today, the current recording line-up consists of the following individuals:

Members

Lars Jensen: Composer, vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, guitars, flutes and programming.
Olav L. Mjelva: Hardanger fiddle
Bernt Fjellestad: Vocals
Erlend Antonsen: Bass guitar

A brutal mix of traditional Metal meets 90’s Hardcore type sounds / meets a Stoner in Thrash alley!Sick of all the nuwave stuff ?! THIS IS IT !After  exploring  various  aspects  of heavy metal, the members of WORSELDER brought the band towards a style that is more  and  more  their  own  and  modern, based  on  solid  rhythms,  progressive arrangements  and  diverse  vocals,  all  of  which serve a musical style made for the stage.

Carried  by  an  efficient  rhythm section  and  powerful  lead  vocals, WORSELDER  claim  influences  such  as DevilDriver,   Pantera,   Coroner   or Machine  Head...  mostly  hard  hitting

Far  from  the  traditional  nail wielding  leather  clad  biker  look, WORSELDER refuse to belong to any established category, and have a 100% authentic  approach,  as  much  in  their attitude as in their music, proudly taking  on their Pyrenean origins!

After a series of gigs which led the band to open for bands such as Firewind,  Huntress,  Dagoba,  Black Bomb A, Primal Age and Nothingness, Worselder  brought  out  a  1st  7  track self  produced  EP: Where we come from, in  2011,  available  for  free download on Bandcamp.

Where We Come From (EP - 2013)

Basically, Worselder rely on a fusion style that Surname as "melting-pot" metal, groove metal mixing with stoner, and the themes seem truly pointed to the concerts and to a high interaction with the public.

With this record, the band seems to have matured and has a consistency and musical tessitura pretty straightforward and direct born of the most iconic metal roots. In lyrical terms, the EP seems to be based on a profound social awareness, a warning to the various problems affecting modern times.

Musically, the sound should appeal to fans of the groove and nineties thrash metal, with bands such as Coroner, Pantera, Testament, Machine Head and Grip Inc. to appear on the list of references, and the musicians do not also hide fondness for newer bands as DevilDriver, Mastodon and Gojira. With only three songs, this EP makes us the expectation for what the Worselder able to produce a higher breath format.

Premortal Breath - They (Full Length Album - 2014) - Reverbnation Stream

 Biography

In 2010 Tommy (vocals) and Potti (drums) decided to grab the bull by the horns. They wanted to start a fresh-sounding, heavy, yet melodic metal band – the idea of Premortal Breath was born.
Still missing guitarists and a bassist, the two started their quest for fellow musicians. A first line-up was complemented by Armin (guitar) and Tobias (bass) and started working on new songs right away. In October 2010 the bunch entered the Beat-House Studio in Rauenberg/Germany where they recorded two of their songs (Mind over matter/Your ruin).

Still lacking a second guitarist Tobias switched from bass to guitar, a wise decision, as shortly after guitarist Armin left the band due to personal issues. Luckily a new bassist was found quite easily in Sebastian. Without intermission they continued to rehearse and push their songwriting, while looking for a second guitarist. Innumerable, fruitless auditions later guitarist David joined the band, being the missing piece. But shortly after the bands line-up changed once again -

David left the band to pursue his own musical ideas. The band being fed up with auditions Sebastian stepped up to the challenge and filled in as second guitarist. Recruiting a bassist was kind of a no-brainer, as first applicant Dominik convinced on all levels. So that's it in a nutshell.
We love to share our music, so catch us on one of our gigs and spread the word!

We had the honor to share the stage with: Bastard Nation, Battlemage, Beneath The Grey, Emerald, Hatchery, Irony, Ivory Night, Messenger, Scathing Irony, Sceptor, Vanderbuyst, Hand of fate, Out of damage, Awaiting dawn and Alienshake.
So long...

Morthus - Into Oblivion (EP - 2014) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
In fall 2011, when founded by Asgharoth Morthus Diaboli (guitar), Hellum Nokthurl Infernalus (bass guitar) and Krypoth (drums), Morthus started writing its first songs. Soon the compositions turned out to be gloomy but melodical, so the band decided to tread the sinister path of melodic black metal. They also looked for a second guitar player and a vocalist to complete the line-up, but this proved difficult.

After several line-up changes (intermediately assisted by Ira / Triebtat and Sethurion a.k.a. Alex / Path of Destiny), Hrafnagud and Kharon Phormeus Inferorum joined Morthus as second guitar player and vocalist. So the band's style changed to blackened melodic death metal.

Until the end of 2013 Morthus wrote up to seven hymns. So the band decided to besiege a record studio for their first Demo EP in early 2014. In summer 2014, after playing several club gigs,
Morthus recorded four well chosen songs at Nautilus Studio in Gera / Germany. So the EP “Into Oblivion“ was finally self-released on October 22nd in 2014.

But during the studio records, the cooperation between Morthus and Hellum Nokthurl Infernalus was quit because of problems in the bands chemistry. Therefore all bass guitar recordings were
performed by the producer Florian Rahm (Dubiosis).

The band also decided to perform upcoming shows without a new full-time bass player until the end of 2014. Soon Florian Rahm (Dubiosis) stepped in as temporary bass player for all upcoming shows and enabled to play further gigs until a permanent substitution is found.

Northland - (2007-2015) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp/Youtube Stream

Biography
Northland has its roots around year 2004 when Pau Murillo, along with some friends of his, decided to start a band that would blend Viking and Melodic Death Metal elements. It would later be completely disolved due to various problems.

After a short period of time, Pau found another band (Everfrost), in wich he quickly settled, and proposed to continue with the style of his previous band but with a greater focus on Death/Folk metal. The band accepted and Pau started leading the band writing all the material. However, in some time and after some internal problems, the band decides to split, although Pau decides to move along with his music.
After some time, Pau announces that he is back with Northland, looking for musicians, and decides to ask some trustworthy members from his previous bands. Thus, Cristian on the drums, Jonathan on keyboards and Sergi on guitars come in. After much thinking and discussion and contributing with different ideas from everyone for the future of the band, they decide to look for a violin player in order to increase the Folk side of the songs, and consequently Guzmán takes his role as such. Eric Vila, friend of Pau, will finally join as a bass player. Due to personal problems, Cristian left the band, being substituted by Daniel Mateu shortly afterwards.

With this line-up, the band started to be known playing at small festivals in Catalonia and the Iberian Peninsula. The band then released their first demo, "FREEZING SADNESS", with good response from the audience.
But things got complicated again and Jonathan, Sergi, Guzmán and Eric left the band due to lack of motivation. In little time, Pol Lemaire joined as a keyboard player and Pau, Dani and him went along with the band, hiring Alex Fernández on guitar, Pau Vazquez on violin and Yolanda Gago on bass shortly after that, just in time to be back on the stages again.
At the end of 2009, Northland sign a contract with Black Bards Entertainment in order to edit the debut record of the band, released in early 2010 and with a homnymous title: NORTLAND. This release opened the gates of Europe for the band, where played at several concerts and small festivals. Shortly after that, Yolanda quit the band due to personal reasons leaving the bass position for Vic A. Granell, engineer in the recording of the album and current bass player in Moonloop (Prog Death).
Currently, the band has recently released their latest album "Downfall and Rebirth" on january 1st 2015.

Drakum was born at the end of 2009, after more than a year looking for the right members. During the year 2010 we were immersed in the composition of songs and recording our first demo "Around The Oak". In 2011 we have been promoting "Around The Oak", receiving very good reviews, and started playing live shows. We opened for the russian band Arkona in their way through Barcelona and won a band contest, Goblin Fest 2011.

In 2012 we continued doing gigs and festivals, and participating in more band contests, arriving to semi-finals in W:O:A Metal Battle Spain and winning Devilfest '12. During 2013 and after some member changes we played outside Spain for the first time, participating in MetalDays Festival (Slovenia) and Carpathian Alliance Metal Festival (Ukraine), as well as continuing a prolific live activity in our country. Now in 2014 we are planning to release our first album titled "Torches Will Rise Again" along with the official music video of the song "Around the Oak", playing in more festivals like Underwall (Croatia) and MetalDays (Slovenia) and work on the composition of new material for our next recording.

Comaniac - Return To The Wasteland (Full Album) [2015] - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
The Company of Maniacs started with two metal heads: Cédric Iseli (drums) and Jonas Schmid (vocals, guitar). As lonesome metal heads in their teenage years at school they hooked up to celebrate their favorite music: Heavy Metal. With Overkill, Coroner, and Sepultura as main influences, they made their way through the cover-period into songwriting.

A lot of ideas and smashing riffs later, they had 5 songs ready for action and rehearsal! It was April 2012 in our counting when they entered a small cowshed - a friends “recording studio” - to record their songs. The very first demo release was ready and was called “Cowshed Demo”. They got backup in no time. Raymond Weibel (bass) and Dominic Blum (lead guitar) were blown away by the cowshed demo and joined Comaniac in summer 2012. The four maniacs from Aarau, Switzerland were soon ready to hit the stages - just weeks after their first rehearsal.

In December 2012 Comaniac found themselves in a professional recording studio to record their second demo. “Tumor Troop” was released in summer 2013 and recognized not only in the local but also the international press. Cédric comments, “In early 2013, when we suddenly had our full line up and a decent demo, we had something in our hands! Venues and press started to give us some recognition and noticed our passion for Heavy Metal music!”

By the end of 2013, Comaniac played in several cities and gathered a lot of live experience such as a Supporting Act for Thrash legends Coroner and Toxik. But there was something quietly growing beside the shows...

In early 2014, Comaniac recorded their brand new song «Killing Tendency» to announce their debut album to be released in early 2015. Jonas says, “We knew right from the beginning that it is essential for a band to write and release new music. We have to let people know we’re working hard on our music and are keeping to it. There was no day off from improving our song material!”

With a professional music video clip to be released in February and with the release of their debut album “Return to the Wasteland”, Comaniac again wants to go a step further on their way. And will!

Bleak Flesh - (2013-2015) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY

Bleak Flesh is a chilean band formed in 2009 after the break of a previous project. By the end of the year the band decided to record their first demo entitled "MARCHING TO WAR".

Two years later after many line-up changes and gigs including a support act for Cradle of Filth, the band began to take a new musical direction adding progressive and technical elements to their style.

In 2013 Bleak Flesh releases their debut EP called "THE GATEWAY" presenting four tracks with an interesting mix between metal genres like melodic death, technical death with progressive touches and Djent influences.

2014 the band started the recordings of their LP called "TRANSCENDENCE". The album was released on 7/19/2014, twelve tracks for fans of technical, progressive and melodic death metal. InDespair - (2012-2015) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

 BIOGRAPHY
Due to many line-up changes it's hard to point out when the band was really formed. Let's say that everything started back in 2003 when two current guitarists of InDespair - Sergiusz Ciskowski and Daniel Bartosik - met. Constant line-up changes and inability to a find suitable singer hindered the band's progress till 2006, when they managed to record their first 3-track demo in a line-up that already consisted of current guitarists, bass player and drummer.

Right after exiting the studio the band parted ways with their singer. They waited a year to complete the line-up which entered the studio in April 2007 to rerecord three songs from the first demo and add two more. Recording was finished in the beginning of August. The band released the EP entitled "No Escape" on their own on 17th January 2008 and began selling it through online auctions.

After releasing the CD InDespair focused on promoting their music and playing gigs (including two shows with Tyr on their Polish tour leg in June 2008, with Blaze Bayley in March 2009, opening for Sabaton in April 2009 and for Polish legends Turbo in November 2009 and playing alongside Crystal Viper, Lonewolf and Wild Knight in January 2010).

InDespair spent almost whole year 2010 on preparations to record a full lenght album. They began recording in ZED Studio in January 2011 with Radek Ofierski, who replaced Łukasz Kołacz two month earlier and then in the end of 2011 made room behind the drum kit for Sebastian Jarus. Debut album 'Time to Wake Up' was published by the band in May of 2012.
