BIOGRAPHY
Last Scattering is a progressive metal band based in Hamilton. Last Scattering was founded by guitarist Jeff Hyde in July, 2012. Upon finding co-members Fahim Safi, Dervish Kucukovic, Kyle Schwartz, Omar Badawi, and Ryan Summerfield by March, the band had united to begin writing music for their debut album.
In September, 2013, the band parted ways with bassist Kyle Schwartz. By October, Last Scattering had recruited bassist, and long time friend, Andy Dmytryshyn to bear the rumbling lines beneath their work. As of October 1st, 2013, Last Scattering was signed to Ghost Vision Records, spear-headed by Hamilton metal promoter, owner of Chaos Corp. Promotions, Eric Camilleri.
Made up of three guitarists, Jeff Hyde, Dervish Kucukovic, and Omar Badawi, bassist, Andy Dmytryshyn, drummer, Fahim Safi, and vocalist, Anthony Puddu, Last Scattering's 6 piece sound comes with a unique core of fusing death metal with jazz and groove accompanied with a plethora of time signature changes, key changes, and phrasing to make a sound that is unmistakenably exceptional.
Formed with 3 guitars, bass, drums, and vocals influenced by the likes of bands such as Between the Buried and Me, Protest the Hero, Periphery, Pomegranate Tiger, and more.
Having gained momentum in the Hamilton area, the band released its debut album, Eidolon, on August 1st, 2014 with original vocalist, Ryan Summerfield and a release tour with friends, The Parallax, between August & September, 2014 across Ontario and Quebec.
Last Scattering has opened up for Protest The Hero, Within The Ruins, Cryptopsy and many more touring artists.
Garnering success with the album's release, and after a lineup change in early 2015, the band released two songs, "Caves" and "Limey" are a bit of a preview demo single for upcoming second studio full length album. Last Scattering is well on its way to producing a second full length album, estimated to be a early 2016 release.
