Harakiri for the Sky - (2012 - 2014) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY is a  black metal/post-rock band from Vienna, Austria. The band was formed by M.S. in December 2011 with the idea to perform black metal that’s rough and melodic at the same time. M.S. wrote and recorded a couple of songs and asked his friend J.J. for lyrical input. That’s when J.J. joined the project as vocalist and HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY was born. During the spring of 2012.

The band recorded their self-titled debut album, which was released via Art of Propaganda in October 2012. At the end of 2012 and into the following year, the band already played a handful of shows with bands like Fäulnis, Heretoir, and Whiskey Ritual which led them to Austria, Germany, and Italy.

During the autumn and winter of 2013, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY recorded their second album, Aokigahara. As a tasty tidbit, Aokigahara contains guest vocals from other noteworthy black metal musicians, such Torsten (Agrypnie), Eklatanz (Heretoir), Seuche (Fäulnis), and Cristiano (Whiskey Ritual). An album release tour took place from April 21-24 with the bands Eis & Fäulnis. In October 2014, HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY  embarked upon a 10-day European tour with Agrypnie, with other shows throughout the same year.

Aephanemer - Unstoppable (Single - 2016) - Youtube Stream

Right after the French Melodic Death metallers AEPHANEMER revealed the cover artwork of their debut full length, ‘Memento Mori’. They released the first single of the album is "Unstoppable", the album will be released via Primeval Records on September 16th, 2016. On this special occasion, AEPHANEMER had the honor of collaborating with Niklas Sundin (DARK TRANQUILLITY) who designed the album artwork and Maciej Dawidek (WIDEK) who took over the audio production.

Having initially begun as a one-mand band, the musical essence of Aephanemer has been crystallized in January 2014, within a first solo EP : « Know Thyself », mixed by Maciej Dawidek (Widek) and illustrated by Niklas Sundin (Dark Tranquility). The band broke into the metal scene with their debut EP ‘Know Thyself’ in 2014. Integrating musical elements from scandinavian Melodic Death Metal, slavic traditional music and classical symphonies, AEPHANEMER brought some freshness to the modern metal scene and generated significant expectation from their newly formed and quickly growing fanbase.

Marion, Mickaël and Anthony quickly joined the band after the EP release.

The year 2014 was marked by the formation of a complete line-up and the organization of concerts in Toulouse’s musical scene, but also by the composition and realization of a first full-length album.

After a multitude of shows given all over France and strengthened by the support received from eminent metal webzines (Metal Observer, Lords of Metal, HornsUp, Metal Impact) the band is now planning a National and European tour for November 2016.

Myrkvar - Plunder en Brand (EP - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Myrkvar is storming the Dutch metalstages since 2004 with their energetic folk/viking metal. The characteristic sound of the bands is best described as a mix between merry folk and rapid energetic guitar-riffs with banging drums. The fierce screams and grunts are alternated with clean vocals which creates a real folk-atmosphere. During their gigs Myrkvar has shared the stage with big names like: Turisas, Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Thyrfing, Månegarm and Heidevolk.

After some demo’s Myrkvar released their debut-album ‘Als een woeste Horde’ in 2008.  After this many shows followed. In 2010 they began working on a second album. This is an concept album with stories about Ragnarok, inspired by Nordic Mythology, as are found in the Edda. This album ‘As en Bloed’ was released in 2012.

On June 24, 2016 the band released their new EP “Plunder en Brand” which contain 4 track of Folk-metal with Oriental influences. The epic titletrack opens with an Eastern theme recounting the pillaging of Atilla the Hun. The EP continues with the more modest song "Wanhoop en Angst" (Despair and Fear), prophesying the downfall of the Huns. "Hunnenhorde" (Hun Horde) is a complete overhaul of the older song "Geboren uit Oorlogslendenen" that appeared on "Als een Woeste Horde". The new recording includes new musical themes and lyrics to match the style of the EP. The EP comes to a grand finale with "Gesel Gods" (Scourge of God) which tells the story of Atilla's legacy.

Myth of a Life - (2014 - 2016) [ Full Discography] - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Myth of a Life is a 4 piece melodic death metal band from Sheffield, UK. Although the band was formed in the UK, none of the founding members originate from the UK. Initially the band started out as a one-man project by Japanese guitarist Takanori Shono, who used incomplete demos which he composed whilst being a member of Japanese melodic death metal band Impenetrability. These incomplete demos became the foundation of Myth of a Life’s self-funded debut EP ‘Erinyes’. The project was then joined by Italian drummer Damiano Porcelli (ex-Golem) and by Greek death metal vocalist Phil‘Core’ Dellas, thus forming the core line-up of Myth of a Life.

Since its formation in late 2013, the band focused exclusively on practicing regularly and recording their debut EP. In this four-track EP the different cultural backgrounds of each of the band members combined forces in order to create an amalgamation of the dark melodies of melodic death metal and the ferocious riffs of thrash metal. During the recording process of the EP, English bassist Charlie Power joined the band as a session/live member. Later in August 2014, the band released 'Erinyes' EP. Apart from receiving many good reviews, the EP was voted album of the week by the music reviews page 'Death Metal Ao Extremo'. In November 2014, Myth of a Life announced that Charlie Power joined the band as a full-time member. In early 2015, guitarist Dave Warren also joined the ranks of Myth of a Life as the lead-guitar player and full time member.

In March 2015, Myth of a Life inked a three-year record deal with giant Greek record label Sleaszy Rider Records in order to release the band’s debut full-length album. The international melodic death metal quintet would start working towards establishing itself as an act in the Sheffield metal scene by playing numerous live shows around the area. In May 2015, vocalist Phil'Core' announced in a radio interview that the band will be entering the studio in November 2015 to record Myth of a Life's debut full-length album, hoping for an early 2016 release.

In mid-August 2015, the band announced that guitar player Dave Warren had decided to exit the group because he was not able to commit to the level that the band required him to. As a result, Myth of a Life decided to continue as a 4 piece. In September 2015, Myth of a Life released the name of their upcoming debut full-length album, 'She Who Invites'. In early January 2016, the band announced they had entered Ida Red Studios with Phil Hackett in Sheffield, UK to record 'She Who Invites'. In February 2016, the band announced that they had parted ways with their bass player Charlie Power due to a number of musical differences.

In April 2016, the band released a new single entitled 'Waiting To Die' from their upcoming debut album 'She Who Invites'. In early May 2016, the band announced that they had amicably parted ways with founding member and longtime drummer Damiano Porcelli. A few weeks later the band revealed a new line-up consisting of Liam Banks (ex-Lacrota) on bass, William Price (Psython) on guitar, Alexander Bond on drums and Phil'Core' Dellas on vocals, leaving him as the only original member. In mid-June 2016, Myth of a Life released their debut album 'She Who Invites' via Sleaszy Rider Records.

Mistur - In Memoriam (Full-Length Album - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

It has been a long wait since the Mistur made its mark on the world with critically acclaimed debut; “Attende”. Fortunately the wait has not been in vain. “In Memoriam” Sees Mistur return with a masterpiece fielding long and layered arrangements, clever melodies and progressive elements mixed with its signature brand of sognametal.

Mistur was started in Sogndal, Norway, by Espen Bakketeig and Andre Raunehaug, and the band was joined shortly after by Stian Bakketeig (Vreid, ex-Windir, ex-Cor Scorpii). After a demo, they landed a deal with Einheit Produktionen, and the debut album "Attende" was released in 2009 to rave reviews. Apart from some festival shows and a tour, the band became inactive for shorter periods, before the work on the follow up album started.

With new vocalist Oliver Øien and new drummer Tomas Myklebust in the band, Mistur got a fresh start that took the band to a new level. The songs are longer, more epic and complex, and the arrangements are bigger. “In Memoriam” was recorded in Conclave & Earshot Studios and in the bands private studio. The album was produced by Mistur main man Espen Bakketeig and mixed by Bjørnar E. Nilsen. With “In Memoriam” Mistur brings new elements into the Sognametal style without loosing it's unique core. The album is a must for all fans of Windir and the Sognametal style, but will certainly also appeal to fans Amon Amarth, Insomnium and Månegarm.

Nothing Lies Beyond - Lost (Single - 2016) - Youtube Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Nothing Lies Beyond is a melodic death metal band from Tel Aviv, Israel. The band started in late 2011, by Guy Elberg and Ariel Lior, working on their music for two years in the rehearsal studio , during that time, the line-up of changed a few times due to personal reasons. In December 2012 , after working with a local producer – Eli Zulta , the band self- released their first promo single “Fading Behind False Eyes”. The band performed their debut show in 2013 with Israeli extreme metal Arallu and the dark metal band Angry Buddha.

Early 2014 Nothing Lies Beyond were opening act in a festival that included emerging metal bands from Israel Salem , Arallu , Desert. Highlights that year were supports with the massive Elvenking, Dark Tranquillity and Children Of Bodom.

In June 2014 , the band decided to record their first Album in “AG Studio” in Tel Aviv. During the production stage, Nothing Lies Beyond changed the line up of the band to their current and final line up. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in  by Alex and Vitally Zvulun.

The band have been holed up in AG studio recently and have come to the surface with a blistering melo-death album entitled Fragile Reality. Nine tracks of hook laden melodic death metal that would make you swear you were listening to something from Gothenburg from the early nineties. Except with a modern finesse. With songs like ‘Never Back Down’ and ‘We Are The Revolution’ this is a statement of intent from the young quintet.

“This album means a big achievement in the band’s history. From the early beginning, as the co-founder of the band, we always believed in the potential of the music that we made. The album is really a turning point, from being a small local band in the rehearsal studio… to what we are today.”

“It took a lot of hard work but we can finally say that the album is perfect and represents our music in the best way that’s possible and we want to say thank you to all the people that helped us during this time and especially during the recording sessions. In the end, we are really happy with the final result and this album is just a small step to our final goal.” -  Ariel Lior Drummer of the band.

"Lost!" is the third single release  from their debut album.
-"This track was one of our first songs , and in our opinion , it captures the real Swedish vibe which the band take huge inspiration from. With the fast riffs, melodic choruses, quieter parts, and tasty soloing, this song really defines who Nothing Lies Beyond are." - Commented the band

Artwork (as seen below) was completed by Luciferium Designs. Fragile Reality was released on 22nd July 2016 independently. The album was produced, recorded and mixed at AG studio (TLV, Israel), by Alex and Vitally Zvulun.

Elysian - Wires Of Creation (Full-Length Album - 2012) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
The band was founded by guitarists Gabriel and Nathan Hutchinson, and their interplay — part throw-down duel and part harmonious collaboration — is a large part of what makes the music so engrossing. They jab in a blur of hard punches, they bring the fiery shred, they spin webs of atmospheric melody. Gabriel is also responsible for keyboard additions that enhance the music with beats of electronica and soaring ambience.

The Hutchinson brothers’ technically demanding and melodically soulful excursions are anchored by a solid rhythm section (bassist Tristan Tait and drummer Jordan Trevan) that’s hardly by-the-book. In addition to charging the music with weight, they add inventive flourishes to the head-spinning nature of the journey.

Vocalist Ben Garner is the final piece of the Elysian puzzle, providing jagged mid-range howls and deep roars.

Elysians music is powerful, driving and extremely confident.
They blend their passion for straight up metal and progressive rock in a way unheard of in the current national and international heavy music scene.

Elysian have been intent on carving their name into the minds of metal followers across Australia, building a strong home fan base in Melbourne and have done even more so with the rest of the east coast of Australia with constant live performances.

Following a strong start with their live shows, mid-way through 2010 Elysian released their self-produced debut EP and digitally released it through tunecore. With this 3 track EP, Elysian have built their own musical path by focusing their songs around intense moods and head pounding grooves creating an overall experience for the listener.
Tracks like "Conquest" and "The Climb From Fear" emphasis the bands dynamics and progressive side, while the speed metal track "The Machine" and its take no prisoners approach has quickly become a live show stand out.

Early in Elysian’s career, the band signed with Booking Agency “Assidian” which gave them heightened focus and created opportunities that bands a few months old would never encounter. During this time, Elysian embarked on their first tour with “Ignite The Ibex” and “Alice Through The windshield Glass” on the "Harbingers of Storm" tour, which covered the east coast of Australia as a strong unit of high quality acts.

2011 has already been an exciting time for Elysian. On the back of Bassist Tristan Tait receiving an endorsement from MTD Kingston Basses and KSD Strings, Elysian were also honored to be asked by “Synthetic Breed” to join them on their “Perpetual Motion Machine Tour” which again took them out of Melbourne and across Australia.

In recent years the Australian metal scene has exploded wildly onto the worldwide stage with bands such as Karnivool, Psycroptic and Circles all turning international heads; the latest band to want a piece of the pie is Melbourne based melodic deathsters Elysian, who are  released their aggressively punchy debut album, Wires of Creation, worldwide on March 26, 2012. The release storms its way through eleven tracks of hook laden, flowing dark melodies, technical solo interludes and snarlingly evil vocal work. Guitarists Gabriel and Hutch play like the best guitarists of popular Metal bands, and yet, are much less famous. Mixed and mastered by the band themselves “Wires Of Creation” has constructed a journey that is rich with emotion and forged by a legitimate heaviness…

Guitarist Gabe Hutchinson comments: “Our main goal was to create a dynamic experience from start to finish whilst maintaining heavy songs. Overall it's a really heavy melodic death album but at times soars into things like an instrumental Pink Floyd-esque song with an electronic feel or a intricate percussive section. As a band, we grew up listening to music that incorporated acoustic ballads with blazing shred songs all in the one album, and it wasn't called progressive; it was called a good album. Some bands aim to have their songs sound disjointed by dramatically switching between genres; that’s not what we have done, the whole album flows, it attacks and it releases, its aggressive but gives you time to breath and take it in.”

Order to Ruin - Where Future Shadows Unfold (Full-Length Album - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
On January 2012 Grimblade dead, with new names and new members they set a new course and new with energy we carry the band on. So Denis (ex Grimblade, Forlorn Tales, Under Sanitys Bane) bound the new formation Order to Ruin. Melodic Death Metal with influences of Dark Tranquillity, Hypocrisy and some sort of Power Metal was the way. With Simon Buse, the 2nd guitarist they wrote the first songs for the first ep “Underworld Path”. In May Julian (Wrath) comes to the band as a shouter. 5 songs are ready and were produced by their own. Order to Ruin were an only studio based project, with no live activities. They take studio session bass player and programmed the drums. First reactions for this EP were great, so they want to carry this thing on…

On November 2012 after some blood, sweat and tears they´ve written 6 new tracks and one new recorded song from the EP and one intro. The Album was called “Reborn in Grimness”. Here are some new influences in their sound, a little bit of power metal, a little bit of black metal. All fans from Finland to England could have some fun with this.

On May 2013 after the last Album “Reborn in Grimness” there is the time for something new… for raw energy, more thrash, more death metal. The power metal energy is now gone to their other band Under Sanitys Bane. They have a new shouter, a new Bass player and 5 new songs. So welcome our 2nd EP” I am death”…

On Mai 2014 after some good reviews from “I am death” and some tour offers they decided that Order to Ruin stays as studio project, because they only make music for fun that they love. But this is still their hobby, and they hope to carry this on. After Markus Hosch (Bass) and Tobias Müller (Vocals) have quitt, because of rare time, Simon Buse plays also the bass parts and Jens Schönfelder is our new shouter. The drums are done by Mirko Vanderveen of our friends Supreme Carnage. This a years is gone and they have their 2nd album, 8 new tracks, in the style of oldschool melodic death metal. So here it comes, the new Album “The Loss of Distress”.

On November 2014 the story continues... 6 month are gone, but now there´s the time for new material. After fast flowing ideas and the lust to do more, here we go for the third full length album from Order to Ruin. They work very hard on these 9 new songs and they´re proud to serve you these ones. Its still melodic death/thrash metal, they want you to have fun with this and to bang your head. They don´t need a label, they still working on their own. Order to Ruin is for us a view back to the glorious 90´s, the Birth of Melodic Death Metal!!!

On April 2015 after very good reviews to “The Path ton of Atrocity” they sat down to writer “The Book OF Nemesis”. Whether we outdid the predecessor decide, they have this time more value on classical Metal Solos. The Time of 90's of the Death Metal however still remains. To keep balanced now and then something Thrash, a little Heavy and something Blackmetal around the Matereial. Unfortunately after temporal problems Tobi (singer) had to leave the band. Its successor became Mike Seidel (Fear resound Torture), both and singers, and also new bassist.

Germany's number one in playing the Gothenburg styled melodic Death Metal, ORDER TO RUIN have self-released their album number five called “Where Future Shadows Unfold” on May 11, 2016 . Their fast speed in releasing new albums bears always the risk to release unproper material but the two guys Denis and Mike really are so straight and focused on what they do that again they have released another album above average.

Their style on “Where Future Shadows Unfold” remains mostly unchanged compared to their previous release “The Book Of Nemesis” but the amount of solos and killer guitar leads have increased once again and it seems, they want to become the real IRON MAIDEN of melodic Death Metal. Also the programming of the drum computer has been perfected and sounds very dynamic and varying but also with enough power and fast double-bass fundaments. Worth to mention are also Mike's vocals somewhere between grunts and screams which really are varying and well-fitting.

Neurotech - In Remission (Full-Length Album - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Neurotechnology is any technology that has a fundamental influence on how people understand the brain and various aspects of consciousness, thought, and higher order activities in the brain. It also includes technologies that are designed to improve and repair brain function and allow researchers and clinicians to visualize the brain.

Neurotech The band was formed in 2007. Before that Wulf was involved in several groups, but because of their love of mixing very different styles of musician decided for himself that he is comfortable working independently. Initially, Neurotech was a full band, but later the founder focused on work as a solo studio project. Otherwise, it's a futuristic metal/electronica hybrid run by Wulf, who is also the songwriter and producer behind the bands releases.

The idea for the band goes a long way back, but it became serious when Transhuman EP was completed in 2007 and released in January 2008. It contained 5 powerful songs filled with sonic soundscapes, simple yet aggressive guitar riffs combined with a lot of synthesizers. In support of the release was held a few concerts, but the main goal was to create and release a full-length album.

In 2008 a websingle - The Angst Zeit was released to show people a bit upgraded Neurotech sound and direction.

Then - in years of composing, experimenting, failing, learning, and some more failing, the debut album was released in March 2011. Antagonist is a developed vision of Neurotech. Big choruses, choirs, melodies and carefully chosen harmonic content combined with a dense production makes Neurotech move another step in the right direction. Album lyrics are always written from a multiangle point of view - dealing with topics such as - inner opponents, anxiety and agoraphobia, to nonexistence of a modern indentity. The album received a lot of good reviews in the media.

Further, the project has released several EPs and singles, as well as the trilogy "The Decipher Volumes" (2013), which included two previous mini-album "Decipher Vol.1" and "Decipher Vol.2", as well as 3 of the appropriately named "Decipher Vol.3 ".

By this time Wulf has tried many different styles and techniques. There were also instrumental atmospheric Symphony ( "The Elysian Symphony"), and guest vocalist (Tanja Ravljen), and even a real game-cat that sort of helped with the recording of the next material. Continue creative work embodied in the next full-length album "Infra Versus Ultra", posted October 27, 2014, as usual, are available on bandcamp page.

In 2015, Neurotech came just two albums. The first - "Stigma" (first released on CD in July), which contains, according to Wulf, diverse and atmospheric music - a harmonious mixture of ambient, electro, symphonic, metal, futurepop and trance. Four months later, he was released the second album "Evasive", which became the hallmark of the past due to the lack of vocals and guitar parts. The main emphasis is on melody, harmony, space and cinematic atmospherics. Wolf wanted to record this album in the period 2010-2011, but only in 2015, all the pieces of the puzzle have developed as expected.

A new album called "In Remission" was released on June 5, 2016. The album is of course entirely wrote, recordered and  mixed by Wulf, the cover was made by Martin Rozman, a little challenge with guitars helped Matic Mlakar (The Kraken Production).

It's hard to really categorise “In Remission”, like much of Neurotech's work. There are hints of industrial, metal, trance, ambient music, synthpop and orchestral music, no particular style overshadowing any other. It's not uncommon for musicians to have diverse influences, however instead of a grab-bag of different musical ideas “In Remission” feels like a smooth blend where none of the elements are contradictory. Some songs may have chunky metal guitars and staccato rhythms, but their absence on other tracks feels completely natural. In fact “In Remission” is possibly Neurotech's most diverse LP to date, despite it also being the shortest.

When it comes to “In Remission”, its bite-sized length serves as both a benefit and a crutch. For newcomers it can provide a fantastic introduction as it is both more diverse than previous Neurotech releases and easier to digest. However for long-time fans it may sound like business as usual, a perfectly fine release to satiate listeners until Wulf's next endeavour. Also while the sound of the album is great, it must be said that the overpowering snare and relentless bass synths on songs such as Divided Bliss can prove to be exhausting.

While “In Remission” is far from Wulf's strongest work, it provides a concise and comprehensive summary of his sound. It's as good a time as any to delve into not only this album, but his whole back-catalogue. While it might not be an album that challenges or excites his fans, it is certainly a satisfying and solid addition to an amazing discography.

Archaic Decapitator - Light of a Different Sun (EP - 2016) - Bandcamp Stream

BIOGRAPHY
Archaic Decapitator is a 3-piece melodic death metal band from Suffield Connecticut, that fuses the aggressive melody of Scandinavian metal bands like Hypocrisy and Insomnium with elements of black metal and thrash. These influences work symbiotically in order to create powerful and emotional sound that simultaneously holds its own message.

Formed in 2007 by two members of Engraved, Yegor Savonin (lead guitar) and Kyle Quintin (drums/vocals). In 2009 Craig Breitsprecher joined the band as their bassist abd they recorded their first demo “The Archaic Ways of Decapitation”however shortly after, Yegor ended up having to leave for San Francisco late 2009, forcing the band to take a semi hiatus and only reform once a year to play one show. During this time they managed to record a full-length record, “Impalement Ceremonies”, in 2011. Throughout the years the band has cycled through multiple rhythm guitar players, however upon Yegors return to Connecticut in June of 2014, the band recruited Anthony Douaihy (Katahdin) as their new drummer, leaving Kyle as a full time vocalist and recruited Nikita Khrenov as their new rhythm guitarist, forming the current incarnation of Archaic Decapitator.

In 2015, the band released “The Catherine Wheel” EP, marking a brand new chapter in the bands career. Recorded at Studio Wormwood by longtime friend Dave Kaminsky (Autolatry), its title refers to an ancient method of torture that used a massive device use to crush the bones of its victims, a perfect description of the sound this band strives to achieve. This EP exhibits a different musical direction for the band, with a focus on emotion and song flow compared to heaviness and technicality. Aggressive and memorable riffs, pounding drums, complex yet groovy basslines, and demonic vocals are a common denominator in each song and yet each track possesses its own identity. Lead guitarist and songwriter Yegor comments “it's getting harder to avoid technicality in metal nowadays and a lot of the times it becomes this competition, which is something that we're avoiding and instead going into a direction of progressive melody and flow along with brutality rather than a shredfest for the sake of shredding”.

In December of 2014 two singles from The Catherine Wheel were released, the first was “Sublevels” released by the band on YouTube which caught the attention of NoCleanSinging writer Austin Weber, who premiered the second single, “Ethereal Aspects”. He described the song as “a reminder that one can be sonically bludgeoned to death, yet be quite pleased about the life-ending effect at the same time. A fearsome ode to joyous sonic terror indeed.” and describes the EP as “must-listen material”.

Archaic Decapitator are streaming their new EP Light Of A Different Sun in full that it was released on June 7th, 2016. CD and digital pre-orders of the effort are up on Bandcamp.

As good as The Catherine Wheel was, the band have somehow found a way to take things to an even higher level throughout the five new songs streaming early below. All the while, the band underwent a somewhat big line-up shift after The Catherine Wheel, dropping from a five piece band to a trio, rounded out by session drums from death metal drum god Kevin Talley on the new release!

With change comes new possibilities, and Light of a Different Sun at times feels like quite a different Archaic Decapitator than the band has sounded in the past. Part of that is the excellent songwriting throughout these five songs, and the other part definitely has to do with the band delivering a more proggy, complex, and epic experience this time around. Light of a Different Sun is multi-faceted melodic death metal that definitely stands out from the more genre-by-numbers melodic death that's dime-a-dozen and bland. In choosing to go with a five song EP format this time just like last year, Archaic Decapitator have found a winning formula for delivering quality death metal that never dips in quality.

Their main composer Yegor Savonin further explains, “It’s getting harder to avoid technicality in metal nowadays and a lot of the times it becomes this competition, which is something that we’re avoiding and instead going into a direction of progressive melody and flow along with brutality rather than a shredfest for the sake of shredding.” With three releases in three years, Archaic Decapitator are maturing as songwriters, and such growth is present on Light of a Different Sun.

With the permanent return of Yegor and a new lineup bringing life to the band, there are no boundaries keeping Archaic Decapitator from unleashing their full musical potential unto the world.
